JOB TITLE (#25037): OR Registered Nurse - Austell, GA

Minimum of 3 years current experience in an Operating Room

Greenlife Healthcare Staffing is currently seeking an OR Registered Nurse to fill an opening with an Outpatient Clinic located in Austell, Georgia

Requirements of the   OR Registered Nurse :

• Must have at least 3 years current (must have worked within the last six months) experience in an Operating Room setting or current operating room nursing certification
• Must be a graduate of a school of professional nursing approved by the appropriate State-accrediting agency.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or in a related field or a master’s degree in Nursing or in related field is highly preferred.
• Must have an unrestricted registered nurse license from any state (United States).

Schedule of the OR Registered Nurse :

• This is a Full-time position
• Duty hours range from 0700 – 1700 and 0700 – 2100 respectively

Responsibilities of the OR Registered Nurse :

• An Operating Room Nurse is a professional nurse who provides a holistic approach to the care of patients requiring surgical interventions by working closely with surgeons and anesthesia care providers. The Nurse functions both dependently and independently with guidance and direction from the Nurse Manager/designee
• Specialty Clinical Skills Prevents infection by utilization of universal precautions, correct hand washing techniques between procedures and/or patients, maintains aseptic techniques and maintains isolation techniques.
• Maintains good body mechanics to prevent injury to self, patients, and staff.
• Uses safety protective devices for self and patient. Checks all emergency supplies and equipment per unit routine.
• Circulating Nurse’s specific duties
  • All nurses in the operating room must be certified to perform the following routine scrub nurse duties and procedures on all patients:
  • Demonstrates proper aseptic technique
  • Operates mechanics of or table
  • Operates mechanics of or lights
  • Assists anesthesiologist
  • Positions patients properly
  • Opening room
  • Conducts sponge count
  • Completes work sheet
  • Scrub Nurse specific duties. All nurses in the operating room must also be certified to perform the following routine scrub nurse duties and procedures on all patients
• Demonstrates proper aseptic technique when scrubbing in on the following surgeries: Minor Procedure, Plastic, General, GU, Oral, GYN, Ophthalmology, Orthopedic, ENT, Cardiac and Thoracic.
• May be required to work with COVID 19 positive patients and Patients Under Investigation (PUI), for COVID 19
