Job Title: Mortgage Loan Officer

Location: San Francisco, CA; Hybrid (Remote/Office)

Job Purpose:

Join our dynamic team as a Mortgage Loan Officer! In this role, you'll report directly to the Mortgage Sales Manager and enjoy a flexible work arrangement, combining remote work with the option to use one of our office locations. This role also involves occasional travel to meet with clients and attend office meetings.

Primary Responsibilities:

Connect with potential clients to offer residential mortgage solutions.
Convert both inbound and outbound sales leads into loan applications.
Assess clients' financial needs and recommend the best mortgage products and rate programs.
Meet and exceed monthly sales performance goals.

Essential Functions:

Originate, negotiate, secure, and process residential mortgage loans.
Provide guidance and advice to loan applicants throughout the process.
Collect necessary information and documents from applicants and other relevant parties.
Establish and manage interest rates, points, and fees associated with loans.
Handle the collection of charges and other amounts from loan applicants.
Monitor the status of loan applications, keeping applicants and relevant parties informed.
Coordinate loan processing and closing with our team.
Address questions and resolve issues related to loan closings.
Share information about our loan products, prices, and services with real estate professionals.
Attend company meetings, presentations, and industry events.
Prepare accurate reports and ensure the completeness of loan files and documentation.
Perform other duties as needed.

Skills/Qualifications:

Minimum of 3 years' experience in managing and negotiating loans in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with loan processing guidelines, including Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and FHA.
Strong knowledge of standard loan practices, documents, and real estate terminology.
Comprehensive understanding of the mortgage market.
Proficiency in Mandarin (Chinese) preferred.
Must be based in California.

Compensation:

$52,000 - $200,000 per year; commission-based (1099)
