Job Purpose:

Are you passionate about helping clients find the perfect mortgage solution? Join our dynamic team as a Mortgage Loan Officer! In this role, you'll be a key player in assisting clients with their residential mortgage needs, working closely with our Mortgage Sales Manager. Enjoy the flexibility of a hybrid work environment, with the option to work from home or visit one of our office locations. Some travel for client meetings and office gatherings will be required.

Primary Responsibilities:

- Connect with clients to offer tailored residential mortgage solutions.
- Turn inbound and outbound sales leads into successful applications.
- Assess clients' financial needs and recommend the best product and rate options.
- Meet monthly sales performance goals to drive success and growth.

Essential Functions:

- Originate, negotiate, and secure residential mortgage loans.
- Provide expert counseling and advice to loan applicants.
- Gather necessary information and documents from applicants and relevant parties.
- Establish and communicate interest rates, points, and fees related to loans.
- Collect required charges and manage loan application statuses.
- Coordinate loan processing and closing with team members.
- Address questions and resolve any issues related to loan closings.
- Share information about loan products and services with real estate professionals.
- Attend company and real estate firm meetings and presentations.
- Prepare accurate reports and ensure the completeness of loan files and documentation.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support team goals.

Skills/Qualifications:

- Minimum of 3 years' experience in loan management and negotiation in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with loan processing guidelines including Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and FHA.
- Solid understanding of standard loan practices, documents, and real estate terms.
- Strong grasp of the mortgage market.
- Proficiency in Chinese (Mandarin) is preferred.
- Must be based in California.

Compensation:

- $52,000 - $200,000 per year, plus commission (1099 position).
