Volt is immediately hiring for a
Bilingual (Spanish/English) Power Systems Studies Electrical Engineer. - This is a flexible, REMOTE engineering position that can be based anywhere in the United States, with a preferred location in Houston, TX.
- This role also includes a year-end bonus.
As a Power Systems Studies Electrical Engineer, you will: - Simulate model sets to represent the power system over time when adding additional services.
- Run simulations to test reliability, economics, and alternatives.
- Support the development of technical documentation (designs, testing, calculations, reports, standards, etc.).
- Effectively exchange information in all formats, on matters of varying importance and complexity, both inter-organizationally and with external customers/vendors.
- Attend virtual engineering meetings and client calls to discuss projects.
- Potentially travel to client sites as needed for in-person meetings (within the US).
This is a
full time, Direct Hire opportunity.
The ideal candidate will have: - A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, preferably with a focus on Power Systems studies.
- Fluency in both Spanish and English, both written and spoken.
- Experience with Siemens PSS/E software (required) . Experience with PSCAD and DIgSILENT Power Factory is a plus.
- 0-3 years of experience in power systems studies , including running simulations using PSS/E.
Salary: $65,000 - $75,000, plus a year-end bonus.
*The pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
