Job Description

Our Fin-Tech client is seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Bilingual Copywriter. You will create compelling and culturally resonant content in both English to Spanish for their CRM campaigns, including email marketing, SMS, in-app messaging and other customer engagement initiatives.

This will be a hybrid contract-to-hire role based in Chicago. Candidates who are native Spanish speakers are preferred.

Senior Bilingual Copywriter Responsibilities: 

• Develop and write high-quality, engaging and persuasive copy in both English and Spanish for CRM campaigns, including emails, SMS, push notifications and in-app messages
• Ensure translations are culturally relevant, resonate with the target audience and maintain the intended tone and messaging
• Work closely with marketing and creative teams to understand campaign objectives, target audience demographics and key messaging
• Provide linguistic and cultural insights to enhance the effectiveness of advertising content 
• Conduct thorough proofreading and editing of translated content to ensure accuracy, consistency and adherence to brand guidelines

Senior Bilingual Copywriter Requirements: 

• Fluent in both English and Spanish, with exceptional written and verbal communication skills in both languages
• Bachelor’s degree in Translation, Linguistics, Communications or a related field 
• 5+ years of experience in-house or ad agency with a strong portfolio showcasing bilingual copywriting (English/Spanish) both short and long-form
• CRM copy experience across SMS, web and email are preferred
• Deep understanding of the cultural nuances, idioms, and expressions in both English and Spanish-speaking markets
• Familiarity with technical information and/or working within the financial services industry
