About the Role

As a Social Media Intern, you will have the opportunity to support our company’s brand and social media presence. In this position, you will work directly with the Founder & CEO on the following:

• Assist in developing and implementing social media strategies and content creation to enhance the company's personal brand on Instagram and LinkedIn
• Attend weekly brainstorming and progress meetings to ensure objectives are met
• Create and schedule engaging content for social media platforms, including but not limited to posts, reels, carousels, captions and graphics
• Monitor and analyze social media metrics to track the effectiveness of campaigns and identify areas for improvement
• Conduct research on industry trends and competitor activities to contribute to the development of marketing strategies
• Provide community management, respond to comments and direct messages to drive engagement

Requirements

• Strong written and verbal communication skills and exceptional attention to detail
• Ability to meet strict deadlines and manage the social media process effectively
• Proficiency in using software and social media platforms, including Google, Notion, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc
• Basic knowledge of online marketing trends
• Strong interest in social media marketing and digital content creation
• Experience navigating social media management tools (Sprout Social) and graphic design platforms (Canva)
• Ability to think creatively to generate unique and original ideas

Position Title: Social Media Content Intern

Internship Term: Fall 2024 (August through December, exact dates TBD, Opportunity for internship to carry over to Spring semester)

Compensation: This is a paid internship earning a $500 stipend per month and the opportunity to earn college credit

Desired Fields of Study: Marketing, Design, Communications, or a related field

Hours Desired: 10-15/week

Location : This is a fully remote or hybrid position based in San Diego, CA
