Are you a passionate and innovative Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) looking to make a meaningful impact from the comfort of your home? We are excited to welcome a dedicated Virtual Speech-Language Pathologist to our team for the 2024-2025 school year. In this remote position, you will provide essential speech and language services to students in Ketchikan, Alaska, through virtual platforms. Your role will be vital in delivering high-quality therapy and supporting students' speech and language development despite geographical challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

Assessments: Conduct thorough evaluations of students' speech, language, and communication abilities using virtual assessment tools.
Treatment Planning: Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on assessment results, focusing on areas such as speech articulation, language comprehension, fluency, and social communication skills.
Therapy Services: Provide engaging and effective therapy sessions via teletherapy, working with students individually or in small groups, and employing evidence-based practices.
Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' educational goals and overall development.
IEP Participation: Actively participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, offering your expertise to help shape educational plans and accommodations.
Progress Monitoring: Track student progress, adjust intervention strategies as needed, and maintain accurate records of services provided.
Professional Growth: Stay up-to-date with advancements and best practices in teletherapy and speech-language pathology through ongoing professional development.
Qualifications:

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred.
State licensure or eligibility for licensure as an SLP.
Experience in school-based settings and familiarity with teletherapy platforms preferred.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a virtual environment.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
